If I should have a daughter...

Most women dream about the day that they become mothers, the day they are going to carry in their wombs something magical which will come to life after 9 months and call them "mommy", overnight changing life completely. Perhaps one of the most difficult tasks in life, as there is no preparation on how to be a mother or any similar experience, but, more difficult than being a mother is being mother of a girl.

Have you ever stopped to think what  you would do if you had a daughter? What comes to mind when you think about it? What life lessons would you teach her? How would care for her and prepare her to brave the world? There are so many questions that come to mind and so many feelings  surface that it is difficult to know where to start.

If I should have a daughter I would always  want to see her  with a smile on the face, because I would always show her the best path and the best choices that would lead her to happiness.

If I should have a daughter I would learn to decipher her look, as it is the key to the soul, so if I see something wrong, I would help her when, where or how she needed.

If I should have a daughter I would teach her that although life has storms, the sun always comes bringing a beautiful rainbow.

If I should have a daughter I would show her that life is made of ups downs, and that certain things are meant to be and if so, it is always for the best, for better things to happen.

If I should have a daughter I would tell her always to help others without wanting something in return, because then the whole world would turn to her favor when she is the one needing help.

If I should have a daughter ... If I should only have a daugther...

Words are insufficient to describe the act of having a daughter. Daughters are the mirror of any mother, that little person that mothers deposit most of their joy and lives. Daughters show us the world in a completely different way, often upside down, inverted and then changed positions. Being a mother can be a complete mess, but who would not want to mess up when it comes to something so special as this?
