Motherhood: the biggest and the best mess you can get yourself into

Mom... Have you ever stopped to think how this little word of only three letters may contain a meaning far beyond than it appears? Moms can't be described in mere words. I could say love, affection, kindness, patience, but that doesn't even get half of what the exact meaning of being a mother is and how it feels.

Most women dream of the day when she will finally be a mother, the day she will see her child taking his/her first steps and speaking their first words... doesn't it sound wonderful? Probably, being a mother is one of the hardest tasks that a person might face in life, because that person must be aware that from the moment they receive their babies, their lives will change overnight and radically. Far above than feeling prepared, a woman must be extremely responsible for their actions and fully aware that she is getting herself into the best mess of her life.

On the other hand, being a mother has its ups and downs. Just as water and fire are opposites that attract, for a mother love and hate, persistence and defeat, patience and explosion also constantly attract, because nothing is as easy as we want it to be.

Personally, as a teenager I can not express exactly what being a mother is, because much of it can only be said when one lives through the experience. But I guess that's the best gift a woman can receive, because giving life to another individual is showing not only to the world but to yourself that you are a woman worthy and prepared to teach the hardest lesson of all: to live. Being a mother is to face the most unstable but wonderful part of life. Being a mother is to give life to a new life, moreover, being a mother is living.

Role Models

As we grow up, looking for qualities that will form us, we mirror ourselves on relatives, famous people, workers, and friends. As we mature there are certain personality gaps that we try to fill. We find the support and solutions through the experiences and lifestyles of others. These people become our role models.

Usually, when we go through a difficult moment in our lives, we search for answers and help in people whose personalities we admire, who we believe can help us find a solution to our problems.

We rely on role models seeking to achieve similar success to those people, be it professional, personal, spiritual or physical. In most situations, the people who we spend most time with, like our parents, family members and close friends are the ones who we base ourselves on.

I personally believe that the most influential figures that we have as our role models are our parents, who educate us and teach us basically everything we need to live well. As people who are constantly present in our everyday lives, we end up mirroring ourselves on them professionally and personally.

Even though each person is different and each one has her/his qualities, styles, desires and dreams, they all have something in common, which is the existence of a role model. Role models give us the will and perseverance, so we never stop chasing our dreams.
