As we grow up we start to realize that in life we have a long walk ahead and that sooner or later we have to face the world that awaits us, making us choose which paths to follow. One of these paths will be the one that defines our character, even though we don’t realize we are going through it, our attitudes define it for us.
We live in a society and as such we mould our character according to what is common, making us believe we all have to be equal because of the pressure imposed. As Jean Jacques Rousseau once said “man is born good and society corrupts him”. Based on that, without realizing, we are corrupted by society, and it leads us to have negative attitudes, like being prejudiced and committing prejudiced actions against those who have gone against the rules set by society.
As a result, we live in an era where most people make a distinction between race, color, religion and sexes, violating one of the fundamental rights, which is the right of equality.
What must be done is a conscious thought, attitudes define who we are and if we have to choose a path in life, it needs to be the right one.The one that leads us to freedom of choice, because we are always meant to fly and make our own decisions, not decisions forced upon us.
As we grow up we realize that everybody has the same chance to fly, regardless of religion, sexual orientation, color or race, because this is not a problem when the essence is the same for everybody, which is the essence of being a human being with the same rights.
