As we grow up we start to realize that in life we have a long walk ahead and that sooner or later we have to face the world that awaits us, making us choose which paths to follow. One of these paths will be the one that defines our character, even though we don’t realize we are going through it, our attitudes define it for us.
We live in a society and as such we mould our character according to what is common, making us believe we all have to be equal because of the pressure imposed. As Jean Jacques Rousseau once said “man is born good and society corrupts him”. Based on that, without realizing, we are corrupted by society, and it leads us to have negative attitudes, like being prejudiced and committing prejudiced actions against those who have gone against the rules set by society.
As a result, we live in an era where most people make a distinction between race, color, religion and sexes, violating one of the fundamental rights, which is the right of equality.
What must be done is a conscious thought, attitudes define who we are and if we have to choose a path in life, it needs to be the right one.The one that leads us to freedom of choice, because we are always meant to fly and make our own decisions, not decisions forced upon us.
As we grow up we realize that everybody has the same chance to fly, regardless of religion, sexual orientation, color or race, because this is not a problem when the essence is the same for everybody, which is the essence of being a human being with the same rights.

We are always meant to fly

Final Destination
The year I started applying to universities I went through a messy internal conflict. Each day that passed my anxiety grew bigger and a single question kept cropping up: What profession would determine my path in life? The more I looked for an answer, the more questions came up.
My dream since I was a child was to be a doctor, more specifically a plastic surgeon as I was fascinated by esthetics, the human body and its mysteries. But, over the years this dream faded because it didn't fit my profile. In the expected year, I was determined to apply for architecture, after having a few lessons on this subject at school. But I did not feel safe and once again I found myself lost at sea with a thousand and one course options. I thought about fashion, administration and even publicity, but nothing seemed to please me completely...
Then I completely turned away from the subject and decided to focus on the present I was living, including school. With that, I realized my taste for humanities and also realizedthat in my personality that I had a strong taste for defending my own ideas and finding arguments to get what I wanted.More specifically I noticed this in arguments I had with my parents when the answer to any question, including "can I go out?" was always "no".
When I least expected it, the answer to the question that most distressed me appeared: Law. Even without knowing exactly what it was I decided to go for it. Despite the turbulence, today I can say with certainty that it was the best choice I have ever made and that I have finally found my course at sea!

If I should have a daughter...
Most women dream about the day that they become mothers, the day they are going to carry in their wombs something magical which will come to life after 9 months and call them "mommy", overnight changing life completely. Perhaps one of the most difficult tasks in life, as there is no preparation on how to be a mother or any similar experience, but, more difficult than being a mother is being mother of a girl.
Have you ever stopped to think what you would do if you had a daughter? What comes to mind when you think about it? What life lessons would you teach her? How would care for her and prepare her to brave the world? There are so many questions that come to mind and so many feelings surface that it is difficult to know where to start.
If I should have a daughter I would always want to see her with a smile on the face, because I would always show her the best path and the best choices that would lead her to happiness.
If I should have a daughter I would learn to decipher her look, as it is the key to the soul, so if I see something wrong, I would help her when, where or how she needed.
If I should have a daughter I would teach her that although life has storms, the sun always comes bringing a beautiful rainbow.
If I should have a daughter I would show her that life is made of ups downs, and that certain things are meant to be and if so, it is always for the best, for better things to happen.
If I should have a daughter I would tell her always to help others without wanting something in return, because then the whole world would turn to her favor when she is the one needing help.
If I should have a daughter ... If I should only have a daugther...
Words are insufficient to describe the act of having a daughter. Daughters are the mirror of any mother, that little person that mothers deposit most of their joy and lives. Daughters show us the world in a completely different way, often upside down, inverted and then changed positions. Being a mother can be a complete mess, but who would not want to mess up when it comes to something so special as this?
