Make a wish

Being a child, an adult or an elderly person, we all want to achieve something in life in any aspect, area, and in many ways. This definition can apply to the concept of desires and dreams. These abstract words contain such great significance. Dreams are the base of success, and when we achieve this, we get great satisfaction and enormous personal fulfillment.

Anyone, anywhere at anytime can make a wish. Many believe in wishes at exact times like 10:10, 11:11, some others believe in throwing coins into fountains and others through prayer. Be it one way or another, when we close our eyes and start wishing, that is the exact moment in which we conspire with the universe by hoping and persevering to help us get anything we want. It is magical how wishes are powerful to people, because by only thinking about them we feel delighted and we can even feel the magic in the air.

Some wish for love, others pray for better days, some girls wish for dolls, some boys for toys, and some people go further and think bigger by wanting peace in the world, but the true importance of any of these wishes, prayers and dreams is that we want to get something that will make us feel comfortable, it doesn't matter what it is and how crazy it sounds.

The important process of dreaming is to have patience and faith, because dreams can come true, but for that to happen, we must believe until the end and we must do anything necessary to make it happen. When you really want something, you have to go after it and it doesn't matter what others say or think, because your ways of obtaining happiness can be different from other people's perspectives of life. Keep your dreams and take them with you always, because at any time of life they can become reality.

People who believe are the ones that get what they want. Never give up on something that will make you smile. Problems are always going to appear, but that is not a reason to give up on something that is much bigger than some little rocks in your way. A dream is a wish your heart makes and just by dreaming we know anything is possible.

The greatest satisfaction a person can have in life is feeling fulfilled, so fight for your dreams, wish and believe with all your strength, because everything in this crazy world in which we live is possible. Spread your wings, fly, go after what you want, because if you never try, you will never know.

Among tweens and teens

No doubt the youth stage gives us our most valuable memories and the most awaited by children. This can be explained due to events, news and discoveries that take place during this stage of life. Many changes occur, be it internally or externally, which ultimately result in search of personality and defining characteristics. But so far it seems to be a teenage dream, as everything has its dark side, the youth also ends up being the most difficult phase.

The famous transitions... Many questions arise, many changes will occur. First love, new discoveries, beginning a new life of parties and nightclubs, a constant desire to contradict what others think, hard times at school, hard times at home, but wonderful memories at the end... After all, who hasn't been through it or will go through the same situation?

Tweens and teens can be described as unstable and variable. They may change from  water into wine at any time. Today many of these changes may be related to the pressure exerted on the young audience by the media. With that, more and more  teenagers have problems with disorder issues and problems with personalities.

The fact that the media now treats the subject of "bullying" so often by judging it, seems to be contradictory, because this bullying is partially caused by the media. On front covers of magazines and in adverts, you can always observe models with the same physique type, which ultimately affects teenagers psychologically, because they are unstable and highly influenced. As a result, teenagers believe they are different and wrong, which ends up causing serious problems.

What is missing is help for adolescents with such problems of finding balance between reason and emotion. A little help can make a huge difference if it comes from the heart. Be it from a friend, a mother, a father or even a professional, they will want you to feel well at any cost.

Obstacles will always appear, be it at adolescence or at any stage of life, and seem to be more frequent in adolescence. The solution to well-being is to keep good ideas in mind and don't be influenced by what is not worth it. Life is a climb, but the view is great, so until you reach the top, which is being an adult, you will have some huge problems to handle, but these problems will result into the best memories of your life. The teenage phase is the most wonderful adventurous stage of life, so while writing the story of your life, don't let others hold the pen, because only you know what is best for you and what makes you happy!

Motherhood: the biggest and the best mess you can get yourself into

Mom... Have you ever stopped to think how this little word of only three letters may contain a meaning far beyond than it appears? Moms can't be described in mere words. I could say love, affection, kindness, patience, but that doesn't even get half of what the exact meaning of being a mother is and how it feels.

Most women dream of the day when she will finally be a mother, the day she will see her child taking his/her first steps and speaking their first words... doesn't it sound wonderful? Probably, being a mother is one of the hardest tasks that a person might face in life, because that person must be aware that from the moment they receive their babies, their lives will change overnight and radically. Far above than feeling prepared, a woman must be extremely responsible for their actions and fully aware that she is getting herself into the best mess of her life.

On the other hand, being a mother has its ups and downs. Just as water and fire are opposites that attract, for a mother love and hate, persistence and defeat, patience and explosion also constantly attract, because nothing is as easy as we want it to be.

Personally, as a teenager I can not express exactly what being a mother is, because much of it can only be said when one lives through the experience. But I guess that's the best gift a woman can receive, because giving life to another individual is showing not only to the world but to yourself that you are a woman worthy and prepared to teach the hardest lesson of all: to live. Being a mother is to face the most unstable but wonderful part of life. Being a mother is to give life to a new life, moreover, being a mother is living.

Role Models

As we grow up, looking for qualities that will form us, we mirror ourselves on relatives, famous people, workers, and friends. As we mature there are certain personality gaps that we try to fill. We find the support and solutions through the experiences and lifestyles of others. These people become our role models.

Usually, when we go through a difficult moment in our lives, we search for answers and help in people whose personalities we admire, who we believe can help us find a solution to our problems.

We rely on role models seeking to achieve similar success to those people, be it professional, personal, spiritual or physical. In most situations, the people who we spend most time with, like our parents, family members and close friends are the ones who we base ourselves on.

I personally believe that the most influential figures that we have as our role models are our parents, who educate us and teach us basically everything we need to live well. As people who are constantly present in our everyday lives, we end up mirroring ourselves on them professionally and personally.

Even though each person is different and each one has her/his qualities, styles, desires and dreams, they all have something in common, which is the existence of a role model. Role models give us the will and perseverance, so we never stop chasing our dreams.

Time to fly

Part of growing up consists of leaving the past behind to make room for new experiences. Even though it seems difficult to detach from something as strong as memories, there comes a time in our life that we must learn to let go.

Who wouldn't like to live forever in his/her time of teenage dream in High School? All the parties, jokes, romances and friendships? Who wouldn't want to relive a trip, a love story from the past or even a sweet childhood? Who wouldn't want to have control of  life, so it would be possible to replay or forward to any moment desired, to when and where they wanted? But unfortunately, nothing is as easy as we want it to be.

The solution is learning to deal with these situations and knowing that nothing in life lasts forever. Learning to let go is the essential key to well being, not holding grudges, but wonderful memories.

From the moment we understand we've got to move on, we also understand that we learn from memories lived before, helping us grow as a stronger person. We also learn that we are in this world as a passenger, so we should enjoy the ride. We should live life to the fullest, doing everything we want, so later we won't regret anything. Laugh, smile, cry, sing, jump, dance, kiss, hug, love, LIVE it up for as long as you can, because in the end everything that remains are memories.

And you? Are you going to stay there paralized watching life pass you by? Or when you're older, will you want to tell your grandchildren about the amazing life and memories you had? Now it is up to you. Life is made to live it up, enjoy the moments and then when we least expect it is already time to fly, so... Let the memories begin!

Bad behavior

Stereotypes are easily found today in the world where we live. Knowing how to behave in society, the way of being, acting and showing yourself to the world are fundamental to defining your image. In the context in which we live today, many actions can be considered as bad behavior, and often, once people have this image, it is hardly erased.

Especially during adolescence this is usually when the image of who we are is formed, because in this phase the discovery of identity happens. People try new things, live new experiences and set a profile defining who they are.

Oftencertain behavior can be seen as absurd and extremely disrespectful. But, what for one person may be absurd, to another may be common, depending on culture and age inserted in the situation.

Just by looking from the outside, people can't judge if an attitude is right or wrong. They should analyze the context around the place, the time and the kind of people who are involved. I believe that there isn't concrete form of bad behavior, only that people must respect space, since the right of a person ends when the right of the other begins. If a person passes his or her limits and this has effects on someone else's life, then it can be considered lack of education and bad behavior.

It's clear that we should never worry about living to the expectations of others, but the image that we pass on is extremely important and this is the image that we carry on for the rest of our lives. Bad behavior is part of the process of growing up, not only for one person, but for all, because we all have ups and downs, hard days and rebellious phases, we must only be careful that such events do not become frequent.

"You have to think like a boss and act like a lady or a gentleman."

"I've been up and down, over and out"

It is quite normal during life to have doubts and uncertainties, and different choices to be made. Even more normal is not to know what attitude to have through these ups and downs, overs and outs.

Personally, I can classify myself as undecided, variable, and bipolar. Depending on the context, time, place, on my mood, I can change from water into wine. Many times I make the wrong decisions, I talk too much, say what I shouldn't, and after, I think back, regret, and completely change my mind.

I believe that choices are placed in our lives, even if they are small, such as what clothes to wear, or big, as what career to go for. The story goes that as we grow up the difficulty of the decisions we have to make increases, but is not true. The truth is that we learn from the small and big mistakes and learn how to confront them and come to a decision with regards to our questions.

Do not judge someone "unusual"  for being indecisive and variable. It is extremely normal to have doubts and often make mistakes, and by making mistakes, we learn. I've been up and down and over and out and it doesn't make me or you, if this is your case, a worse person, only a person who likes to try everything in order to decide what best matches your preferences.

Thresholds

During the process of growth and development, we suffer many changes, whether it is within or on the outside. Be it for the better or for the worse, it is part of the walk of life to change and become more mature, passing and crossing many thresholds.

Thresholds may have different meanings for people of different ages, social groups, countries, cultures and religions. In spite of that, there is something in common for all of them: a new part of life has just begun and a whole new world is waiting for you to explore.

A person who just finished high school and is entering college, a girl having her fifteenth birthday party, a boy getting his first car, a couple getting married, a couple having a baby, a catholic receiving his or her first communion, and other infinite examples show how thresholds are strongly present in society's day to day.

Even though thresholds are very personal, to cross one means to conquer something. Life is made of dreams, achievements, struggles, victories and defeats. It is necessary to be prepared to deal with sunny days and storms at the same time, because during life, thresholds means reaching limits and opening new doors that lead us to discover a new world which until that moment is totally unknown.

How a minute of kindness can change a day

Have you ever stopped and thought about how a little kind gesture can change someone's day? Even if this gesture seems to be little, it might make a significant difference in someone's life, moreover to yours.

An act of kindness goes both ways, not only enriching the life of the one you privde assistance to, but it fills your heart and soul for doing something that is both simple and yet so fulfilling.

World widely known, the quote "What goes around comes around", once said by a random author can be applied to kindness, showing that a random act of it can have a multiplier effect, causing those you are kind to, to be kind to others in return, like and infinite cycle. By being kind, you open your heart, mind and soul to receive positive vibrations in return.

"Kindness is the language which the deaf can hear and the blind can see", said Mark Twain in one of his most famous quotes. It doesn't require any specific format or any rigid rule to follow. It shapes any person in any age anywhere in the world. It is one of the biggest and most precious gifts of life. Even though kindness is an abstract substantive, it can have a vivid effect, changing people's day and in some cases their whole lives.

Work in progress...

During lifetime, we pass through a long way to achieve what we want, either professionally or personally. However, during this journey in the pursuit of our dreams, obstacles are easily found and as we feel weak, we often want to give up on everything.

Obstacles in many situations can be the other's opinion, difficulties among the process or even people who want to bring us down. It is exactly at this point that we should have perseverance and move on with our heads held high, firmly insisting on what we want.

The key to succeed during the work in progress is to follow your heart and your own ideas and don't let the other's opinion be an obstacle and interfere on your choices, otherwise it won’t be your dream, but someone else’s, be it about to take a job or not, to follow a dream, to go after a belief, to follow a career you choose to and many other options. Remember that the working process is anybody's but yours.

Nothing in life is easy as we wanted it to be. Only those who fight for what they want, achieve their goals. Make your work look one hundred percent you, something that you like and will be proud of doing. By doing it, for sure you’ll have the key to succeed and feel happy with your decisions for the rest of your life, knowing how to manage your work in process correctly and designed with your own hands.
